Before Tamkin is currently offered as an email-list signup resource. Where the Before Tamkin signup page states that you are joining Maison Tamkin's email list, submitting that signup means that you are requesting Before Tamkin and affirmatively signing up to receive the Maison Tamkin email communications described on the signup page.

Receiving Before Tamkin does not by itself place you on the Tamkin: Body Literacy waitlist or indicate interest in every Maison Tamkin product.

For example, one person may be:

  • someone who received Before Tamkin through a Maison Tamkin email signup;
  • a current or former Maison Tamkin email subscriber;
  • a Body Literacy waitlist member;
  • a customer;
  • or several of these at the same time.

Maison Tamkin may adapt the consent controls or signup mechanism presented in a particular jurisdiction where applicable law requires additional or different consent steps.

  • join an ordinary product waitlist;
  • purchase a standard digital product.

You may unsubscribe from future Maison Tamkin marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in those emails.

Unsubscribing does not retroactively invalidate processing that occurred while your consent or another lawful basis was valid, and Maison Tamkin may retain limited suppression information where necessary to continue respecting your unsubscribe request.

Maison Tamkin may offer other free resources under different signup or delivery arrangements. The applicable page or form will explain the relevant use of your information.

Where applicable law requires separate, additional, or different consent for a particular activity or jurisdiction, Maison Tamkin will use the applicable consent mechanism in that signup experience.

Signing up for Before Tamkin does not automatically enroll you in the Tamkin: Body Literacy waitlist.

Joining the Maison Tamkin general email list, including through Before Tamkin, does not by itself place you on a product-specific waitlist unless the relevant signup experience clearly states otherwise.

Where Before Tamkin is presented as a signup resource for Maison Tamkin's email list, the signup experience will state before submission that the person is signing up to receive Maison Tamkin email communications and will receive Before Tamkin as part of that signup.

Shopify Network Intelligence

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for Maison Tamkin.

When Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, Shopify may securely use customer information from interactions with Maison Tamkin together with information from interactions with Shopify and other Shopify merchants to provide Enhanced Services.

These Enhanced Services may help Maison Tamkin and Shopify:

Other Shopify merchants do not receive direct access to Maison Tamkin's customer database through Shopify Network Intelligence.

For certain Enhanced Services, Shopify may process personal information in its own capacity as described in Shopify's privacy documentation.

8. Klaviyo

Maison Tamkin uses Klaviyo for functions including:

  • email-list management;

  • campaign delivery;
  • email analytics;
  • ecommerce-event synchronization.

Depending on your interaction with Maison Tamkin, Klaviyo may process information such as:

  • subscription status;
  • form submissions;
  • email engagement;
  • website activity;
  • ecommerce and purchase events synchronized from Shopify.

Klaviyo processes this information in connection with services provided to Maison Tamkin and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Maison Tamkin does not sell customer mailing lists for money.

However, certain privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” broadly.

Because Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, certain data uses involving advertising based on activity across Maison Tamkin, Shopify, and other merchants may be considered sharing or targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

Where applicable, visitors can use Maison Tamkin's Data Sharing Opt-Out functionality to opt out of:

  • sale or sharing as defined by applicable law;
  • certain targeted-advertising uses.

Where supported and legally applicable, Shopify may also recognize a valid Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out request.

Customers may also use the Shopify Privacy Portal to exercise certain rights directly regarding Shopify's processing.

13. International and Cross-Border Processing

Maison Tamkin is based in Québec, Canada.

Some service providers, including Shopify, Klaviyo, payment processors, and other technology providers, may process or store personal information:

  • elsewhere in Canada;
  • in the United States;
  • or in other jurisdictions.

Personal information processed outside Québec may therefore be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed.

You may unsubscribe from Maison Tamkin marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism contained in those emails.

Maison Tamkin will process unsubscribe requests in accordance with applicable law.

After unsubscribing from marketing, you may still receive communications reasonably necessary to:

  • provide purchased product access;
  • respond to a communication or request from you;
  • administer an account;
